In the Medoc region of Bordeaux you can find the lovely vineyards and winery of Chateau D’Arsac. Many families, including the Chateau’s owner, moved to this region when Algeria gained its independence from France in 1962. Mont Saint Michel, Normandy’s Gem

…and one of the most important places of medieval pilgrimage. It’s been on my bucket list for years but I knew little about this 10th century abbey until this visit.
